Journey into the Forest with Tamlin - An Interactive Concert
We are one under the moonlight.
We are both dark and light.
Embracing every part of our psyche.
We will find our meaning of life.
Step into the story.
Find yourself.
Transform.
Journey Into the Forest is not just a concert. It is a transformational experience that invites the audience to explore their inner world through archetypes, immersive storytelling, and soul-stirring music. Centered around Tamlin’s original songs, the show weaves together live performance, contemporary dance, and interactive rituals that guide each participant through a three-part journey: confronting their shadow, searching for meaning, and stepping into authenticity.
Set in an enchanted forest clearing, the audience gathers in a circle around a glowing campfire, surrounded by immersive LED visuals, tribal-inspired musicians, and performers painted in symbolic markings. Through live music, dance, flower crown-making, temporary tattoos, and partnered reflections, each guest is invited to explore which archetype they resonate with, uncover the beliefs that hold them back, and declare a new way of being. This is not a show you watch. It is a journey you take.

Tamlin's Inspiration
As an artist, I’ve always felt that traditional concerts create too much distance between the performer and the audience. The artist pours their soul out on stage, and the audience watches from afar. But my music was never meant to just be watched. It’s written to prompt deep self-reflection, to help people question their paths, and to gently ask: Are you living meaningfully?
I didn’t want this to be another show where people come, escape their lives for a few hours, and leave unchanged. I wanted to create something immersive and personal, where the audience becomes part of the journey. That’s why in Journey into the Forest, we gather around a symbolic campfire, as if part of a tribe. I take on the role of a forest spirit and storyteller, sharing tales of three archetypal beings: the Warrior Wolf, the Actor Songbird, and the Dreamer Moth. Each of them holds a mirror to different parts of ourselves, our fears, our defenses, and our transformations.
Through live music, contemporary dance, and participatory activities like flower crown-making, temporary tattoos, and partner reflections, I wanted to create a space where each person could fully experience the meaning of the music and hopefully leave feeling just a little more in touch with who they truly are.
The Journey
The show is divided into three acts, each inspired by Carl Jung's theory of individuation: the lifelong process of integrating our unconscious and becoming whole.
Act I: Shadow Work
The first act invites the audience to witness the archetypes at their most defended. The wolf relies on power to avoid vulnerability. The songbird performs to be loved. The moth retreats from action, afraid to fail. Their stories expose the lies they tell themselves and the habits that keep them stuck.
The purpose of this act is to help the audience recognize their own patterns and bring compassionate awareness to the parts of themselves they have hidden. Only by acknowledging the shadow can transformation begin.
Act II: Search for Meaning
In the second act, each archetype begins to question their behavior and belief systems. They start to see that their defenses are not sustainable and that something deeper must change. Through introspective storytelling and song, they wrestle with the question: What kind of life is truly worth living?
The audience is invited to reflect alongside the characters and uncover the mindset shifts or inner changes they may need to make to grow.
Act III: Authenticity
The final act is a ritual of becoming. Each archetype reemerges with clarity, courage, and a new relationship with themselves. They no longer hide behind masks. Their songs become vows to live in alignment with their true nature.
Audience members are invited to join in these mantras out loud, turning performance into personal declaration. It is a closing celebration of authenticity, meaning, and emotional freedom.
The Emotional Arc
The audience moves through three layers of emotional experience:
Recognition: Seeing familiar patterns in the stories of others
Reflection: Gaining insight through conversation and ritual
Release: Reclaiming agency and speaking new truths aloud
By the end, the atmosphere is lighter, more open. People leave feeling grounded, empowered, and more connected to both themselves and the community around them.
The Archetypes
The Warrior Wolf
Driven by a need to stay strong and self-sufficient, the Wolf avoids vulnerability by taking control and keeping people at a distance. Her transformation begins when she learns that true strength includes softness, and that trust is not weakness, but power.
The Actor Songbird
The Songbird seeks admiration and acceptance, often molding himself into who others want him to be. His journey is one of stripping away the mask and rediscovering the joy of honest self-expression.
The Dreamer Moth
The Moth longs for beauty, imagination, and a world that feels safe for her dreams. She struggles with inaction and detachment, choosing fantasy over risk. Her breakthrough comes when she chooses to act, even imperfectly, and discovers her power lies in movement, not escape.
What People Said
“When I walked into “Journey Into the Forest”, I imagined that the immersive nature of the performance was the ambiance, but it turned out to be much more than that. It was an unexpected exploration of your own self through the characters on stage. The encouraged interaction between audience members and performers felt therapeutic and unintimidating. If you’re looking for something different and innovative, you owe it to yourself to check out this show, but do come with an open mind and heart.”
– Luis Tenorio from Peru
“It felt like a journey deep into a fairytale forest. I felt incredible and excited. I particularly like the scent of the palo santo that the actors lit up, and how we can get involved with the actors like we're part of a clan. Highly recommended if you like new experiences and getting to know yourself better. Come and let go of your mind and open your heart 🤍”
– Temp Wijit from Thailand
“Journey into the Forest with Tamlin, an immersive show that allows you to explore 3 different archetypes within you through stories telling and songs. Each act leaves you wanting to know more about how each character will continue to develop as a path to your own growth. If you allow yourself to follow an archetype that brings up strong feelings for you (either positive or negative), you might see something about yourself that you haven’t seen before.”
– Anne Vorakunthada from Thailand
“This one is different.
I have been to several stage shows before, large and small, but this one is unlike others. It is intimate, interactive, and straightforwardly yet tastefully thought-provoking (signature of Taime Koe's works). The lighting and set design is gorgeous.
I'll even admit that a part of the show made me rethought about a part about my personality.
Recommended to those who are bored of mainstream stage shows and are looking for delightful alternative by a rockstar independent artist.”
– Pattana Lee from Thailand
“Wasn't sure what I was in for, but it came out to be a little beautiful therapy night. We often tend to equate self-exploration with something more solemn and more "clinical", and have forgotten the power of storytelling, the power of theater and music that can reach places beyond the limited capacity of our conscious brain. This experience combines beauty, the music that pierces right down to your soul and gentle guidance to check in with the stirred thoughts and emotions, and a beautiful way to let us be present with them and create with them. Don't want to give away more than this. Come and experience! :)”
